CHAPTER 16

Romeo

Fuck.

Her confession hit me square in the chest. Hearing that I’d been the one to give her pleasure, even if it was in her dreams, had every possessive cell in my body springing to life.

I stared down at her eyes wide with expectation and vulnerability. Excitement and maybe a little nervousness. I was happy that she’d let her walls down, I could see what she was feeling. Now I needed to show her what I was feeling.

Juliette’s hair was whisper-soft against my fingertips as I brushed it gently away from her face. Her eyes shimmered with years of pent-up attraction that mirrored mine.

I’d waited so long to touch her like this, though I’d done it a thousand times in my mind. No. A hundred thousand times.

I stepped forward slowly, closing the short distance between us, deliberately invading her space. My cock jumped as she sucked in a sharp breath.

This moment had been so long coming. I didn’t want to waste one second. I wanted to savor every impression, every sensation and lock it away for good so that I could relive it any time I wanted.

The thing that knocked me on my ass more than anything else was the electricity flowing between us. It was tangible. It made every hair on my body stand on end; every inch of my skin tingled with anticipation.

Finally, when I couldn’t take one more second of not knowing what she tasted like, I leaned down and kissed her soft lips. Those same lips that I’d dreamt of and fantasized about for so many nights. Now they were my reality.

The kiss was slow and soft. Our lips brushed one another’s with erotic innocence. I didn’t want to rush her into doing anything she wasn’t ready for, but I needed her to know where I wanted this to go.

I pulled back. “Jules,” I whispered, so much rasp in my voice that the word was almost trapped in my throat completely.

Her trembling fingers lifted to my face and she grazed my cheek, her beautiful eyes fixed on mine. “Yes?”

“I have fantasy. A dream, really, that I want to make come true tonight.”

“What is it?”

I smiled and kissed her again. “To make your dream come true.”

Her eyes did that surprised widening thing again that made my dick jump in my pants. “Are you talking about…?”

Her voice trailed off in a whisper and my grin spread. “Yes, I am.”

“Okay,” she breathed.

With that, I pressed my lips to hers and swept her up in my arms, kissing her deeply as I carried her to the bed. I never wanted to let her go. She felt amazing in my arms that was true—but not just that. She felt right in my arms.

When we reached the bed, I laid her down gently on top of the covers and undressed her slowly, pulling each piece of clothing off of her body with concentration and care. I wanted to savor this. I’d been waiting for so long to see her beautiful, naked body and each step toward it was like a religious experience.
